✔️ Dosage & Administration | Telcardis Plus 40

Adult Dose

Oral Hypertension Adult 1 tab (40-80 mg telmisartan/12.5-25 mg) once daily. Max: telmisartan 160 mg & hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg daily. Hepatic Impairment: Initiate therapy with a low dose; titrate slowly; monitor

Renal Dose

Renal impairment: Dose adjustment not necessary. Hemodialysis patients are more susceptible to hypotension

• Take one tablet of Telcardis Plus 40 daily or as prescribed by your doctor
• It is typically recommended to take the tablet with or without food
• For best results, take the tablet at the same time each day
• Swallow Telcardis Plus 40 whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medication

✔️ Missed Dose of Telcardis Plus 40

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is close to the time for your next dose. Do not take two doses at once.

Avoid abruptly stopping the medication without consulting your doctor, as this can lead to a sudden increase in blood pressure and increase the risk of heart attack or stroke.

✔️ Telcardis Plus 40 is not recommended for use if you:

• Have diabetes related kidney problems
• Have low potassium levels in the blood
• Have high calcium levels in the blood

• Hydration is crucial as Hydrochlorothiazide can cause increased urination, potentially leading to dehydration or low potassium levels. It is important to drink plenty of fluids unless your doctor has given you different instructions
• Hydrochlorothiazide can lead to electrolyte imbalances, such as low levels of potassium, sodium, or magnesium. Your doctor may monitor your blood tests to track these changes
• Consuming alcohol while taking this medication can enhance its blood pressure-lowering effects, which may cause dizziness or fainting. It is advisable to avoid alcohol
• Telcardis Plus 40 is not recommended during pregnancy, particularly in the second and third trimesters, as it may pose risks to the baby. If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, be sure to inform your doctor right away. It is also not recommended while breastfeeding
• Certain medications may interact with Telcardis Plus 40, such as other blood pressure medications, diabetes medications, potassium-sparing diuretics, lithium, and NSAIDs. Be sure to inform your doctor about all the medications you are currently taking
